Executive Director and Counsel
Prior to joining SEIU Benefit Funds, Ms. Washington was an attorney in the SEIU Legal Department. Ms. Washington is an active member of the American Bar Association Section of Labor Employment Law and serves as member of the Section’s Council. Ms. Washington is also a Steering Committee member of the National Coordinating Committee of Multiemployer Plans. Ms. Washington believes that having a home is a human right and has spent many years as a volunteer board member for her local housing authority.
Ms. Washington graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Finance. Ms. Washington received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Deputy Director and Associate Counsel
Yolanda D. Montgomery is the Deputy Director and Associate Counsel of the SEIU Benefit Funds. Ms. Montgomery oversees the administrative and operational functions of the SEIU Benefit Funds. Prior to joining SEIU Benefit Funds, Ms. Montgomery was an Attorney at Proskauer Rose in New Orleans. Ms. Montgomery’s practice focuses on ERISA Substantive plan work, ERISA Litigation and Labor and Employment. Ms. Montgomery is actively involved in various bar association activities and holds several committee positions. Ms. Montgomery is also a frequent lecture on ERISA and Labor and Employment topics. Ms. Montgomery graduated from Howard University with a B.S. in Psychology. Ms. Montgomery received her J.D. from Texas Southern University School of Law, and her Masters of Law in Taxation from Temple University, James Beasley School of Law.
